Silvina Derdoy es arquitecta, artista visual y fotógrafa.
Su relación con el arte se inicia desde muy joven y toma fuerza a partir de la maternidad, cuando la fotografía se transforma en la herramienta con la que registra sus vínculos significativos. Con el tiempo, su práctica se expande hacia otros lenguajes en busca de mayor libertad y expresión. A partir de 2017, incorpora técnicas antiguas de impresión fotográfica como el cianotipo y suma a sus imágenes trazos, manchas, pintura y collage en composiciones construídas por múltiples capas y significados.
En los últimos años, su obra crece en escala. Integra materiales recolectados en obras en construcción —maderas descartadas, papeles, metales oxidados— y explora los cruces entre arte, arquitectura y naturaleza. Incursiona también con el video, la intervención espacial y la acción artística, desde una mirada que prioriza lo sensorial, lo gestual y el diálogo con el entorno. Su universo abre paso a imágenes, materiales y experiencias que se funden en una búsqueda vital, orgánica y auténtica.
Cómo arquitecta, es socia cofundadora del estudio OCDA Arquitectos, en actividad desde 1998.
Silvina Derdoy is an architect, visual artist and photographer.
Her relationship with art began at a very young age and deepened with motherhood, when photography became the tool through which she documented her meaningful connections. Over time, her practice expanded into other mediums in search of greater freedom and expression. Since 2017, she has incorporated historic photographic printing techniques such as cyanotype, and has enriched her images with lines, stains, paint, and collage—compositions built through multiple layers and meanings.
In recent years, her work has grown in scale. She integrates materials collected from construction sites—discarded wood, paper, oxidized metals—and explores the intersections between art, architecture, and nature. She also works with video, spatial intervention and artistic actions, guided by an approach that prioritizes the sensory, the gestural, and the dialogue with the surrounding environment. Her universe invites images, materials, and experiences that merge into a vital, organic, and authentic search.
As an architect, she is a co-founder of OCDA Arquitectos, active since 1998.
